Around 3 years ago there was an idea to create a medical imaging and radiation therapy oversight committee that was peer-based. The thought was that this would be a more effecient way to handle issues specific to medical imaging and radiation therapy and would deal with issues directly related to our profession. The wheels have been turning for the last 3 years and now it is almost a reality. Here is a presentation about what is going on currently.
